HOMER FACT:

Homer is a town of brilliant entrepreneurial spirit. With so many smart people running businesses, we can always strive to do business smartly. Businesses have the ability to make the biggest impact on our community’s carbon footprint by practicing waste reduction, energy conservation and pollution prevention.  That all equates to cost savings as well as a healthier community.

But there's more to it than just considering today's business.  When looking at the impacts of climate change, businesses are going to be the vital in helping the community adapt.   New businesses in the area can help the community be more sustainable by bringing in services and products that make sense in our changing world, while established businesses can lead by example, making changes from which their customers can learn.
